Noise Syntax

This section contains descriptions which are not implemented yet in simualtor. Work is in progress.

Spice .noise command syntax is implemented:

.noise V(<N1>[,<N2>]) <VIN> <ac_description>

  • <N1>, <N2> - output node numbers, if N2 is omited ground is implied;
  • <VIN> - input AC source at which noise power will be calculated;
  • <ac_description> - gnucap AC simulation statement.

Here are some examples:

  • .noise V(6) Vin dec 10 20 20k

- noise at node 6 w.r.t. ground, calculated to Vin, noise power densinty will be calculated using 10 points per decade (logarithmic scale) in frequency range from 20Hz to 20KHz

  • .noise V(6,3) VSRC oct 2 10 10k

- noise between nodes 6 and 3, calculated to VSRC, noise power densinty will be calculated using 2 points per octave (logarithmic scale) in frequency range from 10Hz to 10kHz
